Accurate appraisals. Reliable results. Every time.
The Appraisal Center was established as The Appraisal Center of Middle Georgia, Inc in 2006 by Joseph (Jody) Cagle. In the years since, the company has grown to include multiple residential specialists and an entire commercial division to handle non-residential assignments. In 2020, the company expanded to cover areas outside of Middle Georgia and the name was changed to The Appraisal Center, Inc. We currently cover more than four states for commercial appraisals and more than 20 counties in Georgia for residential valuations.
Our founding appraiser, Jody Cagle, is a third generation real estate professional. Growing up in a real estate office in Warner Robins, Jody often found himself showing properties to out-of-town clients by riding along with them and giving directions before he could even drive. Afternoons were often spent reading old MLS books and pulling comps intended for reports going to local Savings and Loans in the years before FIRREA required appraisal licensing. After graduating with a degree in Chemistry in 2001, Jody found the familiarity of Real Estate to be more personally rewarding than working in a laboratory. In 2002, Jody began the lengthy process of training to become a Certified Residential appraiser. Over 20 years later, he still loves the appraisal profession. As a founding member of the Georgia Coalition of Appraisal Professionals and a member of the American Guild of Appraisers, he continues to give back to the profession by training new appraisers and networking with appraisers throughout the country to lobby and support the appraisal industry.
